For the asparagus with garlic breadcrumbs and fried bacon, peel, wash and cut the asparagus into 3 cm long pieces. Heat water with salt and sugar, put in asparagus pieces and cook until done.

Peel and chop the garlic. Cut pancetta into 1 cm wide strips, fry in a pan until crispy, remove from pan. Add butter, breadcrumbs and garlic to this pan, fry until golden brown.

Put asparagus on plate, spread breadcrumbs and bacon on top.
