First of all, preheat the oven to 200 °C.
Cut the potatoes first lengthwise and then widthwise (do not cut through!) so that small sticks are formed that still hang together at the bottom. They should be no larger than the size of a thumbnail.
Brush the potatoes with a little oil and salt to taste.
Place the pull-apart fries in the oven for about 50-60 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes.
They should definitely be cooked through, a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
