Mix milk, yeast, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks and flavoring ingredients and let stand, covered, until the volume has increased slightly. Add flour and salt and knead into a smooth dough. Keep warm and let rise again. Knead again, roll out on a floured work surface and cut into oblong three-pointed pieces. Fill with nut filling, jam or powidl. Roll up, brush with egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 25 minutes.
