Instructions:

Soak the smoked meat overnight in cold water. Then change the water, place the smoked meat in a cold place and cook covered with greens and bay leaves for a good hour until lightly simmering. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Roll out bread dough on a floured work surface and place the slightly overcooled ham on top. Fold the dough over the ham and cover it completely. Prick the surface of the dough several times with a fork. Whisk the yolk with the milk, brush the dough with it, place the ham on a floured baking tray and bake at approx. 180 °C for about two hours.
