1. scramble the eggs and mix with the cream cheese. Finely dice the mozzarella and ham. Fold into the cream cheese mixture. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Rinse the basil, shake dry and chop the leaves.

Remove the skin from the onion and dice. Heat the butter in a frying pan and sauté the onion. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook gently for about 5 minutes. Season well with salt and freshly ground pepper and mix in the basil.

If using precooked cannelloni (package directions), now cook them in enough salted water until al dente. Drain and cool a little bit. Then fill with the cheese and ham mixture. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. 4.

Grease a gratin dish. Place the cannelloni one after the other in the greased baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce over them and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the oven on the middle shelf for 20 to 25 minutes. Cannelloni without precooking need 30 to 35 min.
