For the bean hummus, first simmer (at least 12 hours) soaked beans over medium heat for about an hour.

Peel and chop garlic clove, grate and squeeze one lime. Puree all ingredients with a hand blender to a creamy mixture and season with salt and pepper.

The bean hummus can be served with fresh pita bread.
