Instructions:

For the scented rose syrup, boil water and pour into a saucepan. Add sugar and stir in lemon juice. Add the scented rose petals to the liquid only when it has cooled to hand heat, stir well, cover and refrigerate for a day or two.

Then stir well again and drain through a sieve. Bring the liquid to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. D

Pour the fragrant rose syrup into sterile vials and screw on twist-off caps.
