For the garlic baguette, cut the baguette bread into approx. 1-2cm thick (somewhat slanted) slices and set aside. Now crush the garlic clove with a garlic press and put it in a medium bowl. Pour in the oil and stir in the garlic powder.
Mix all ingredients well and season with salt. Using a cooking brush or small spoon, smear the paste onto the breads. While doing so, coat both sides of each bread slice.
Take a coated skillet and lightly brush the bottom of the pan with the still oily brush. Bake the garlic baguette slices over not too high heat until golden brown on both sides. Best enjoyed while still warm.
