For the stuffed zucchini, preheat the oven to 180°C top and bottom heat.
Cut zucchini in half and scoop out with a spoon, leaving about 1 centimeter of wall. If the seeds are hard, remove them.
Chop the removed zucchini flesh into small pieces. Chop onion and garlic as well. Mix minced meat with onion, egg, garlic, zucchini pieces, salt and pepper.
Fill the mixture into the zucchini halves and sprinkle with grated cheese. Put the stuffed zucchini in an ovenproof dish and bake for an hour on the middle rack until the cheese is brown.
