For the wild garlic bread dumplings, place the bread cubes in a large bowl. Peel the onion, chop very finely and fry with the butter in a pan until translucent.
Set the butter and onion mixture aside and let cool. Mix the eggs with the milk and pour over the bread cubes. Pour the cooled butter and onion mixture over the bread cubes as well. Add the wild garlic flakes and the salt.
Now mix everything well, preferably with your hands, until a slightly soft mass is formed. Stir in the flour. Now bring water to a boil in a wide pot and in the meantime form dumplings with wet hands.
It is good to turn the dumplings kutz in flour before putting them in the water bath. This way they will not fall apart so easily. Bring to a boil in the saucepan and simmer over medium heat for about 12 minutes.
