A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Drain the sour cherries, collecting the juice. For the batter, beat the fat with a hand mixer (or in a food processor) until creamy. Add the sugar and vanilla sugar and beat until smooth and the sugar has dissolved. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing each for half a minute. Combine flour and baking powder and stir in by tablespoonfuls. Line the bottom of a cake springform pan (28 cm ø) with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Spread half of the dough into the mold. Mix the rest with the drinking chocolate powder and spread it on top. Spread the sour cherries evenly on the dough and bake the cake for about forty minutes, then remove from the pan and cool.

Whip the cream with cream stiffener, sugar and vanilla sugar until stiff. Next, stir in the curd cheese. Place the cherry cake base on a cake plate and stretch a flexible springform rim around it. Spread the curd mixture evenly on top and spread it smoothly.

For the glaze, place the cake glaze, sugar and the two liquids in a saucepan, whisk until smooth and bring to the boil. Spread the cake glaze evenly over the curd mixture using a tablespoon, pouring around the edge first and then continuing to work inward until everything is covered together. Leave the cake to cool for at least 120 minutes.
