Instructions:

An ideal snack for the evening of skat. You can prepare everything together and finish baking at the given time fresh. The quantity keeps in the refrigerator for 48 hours and can be changed with a wide variety of herbs and vegetables of all kinds.

From the leek, chop the root, cut the stalk in half lengthwise and rinse under cold water. Cut into fine rings.

Cut the ham into 2 cm long, fine strips. Rinse the parsley when cool, shake dry thoroughly and chop finely. Roughly grate the Gouda.

Place ham, leek, parsley and Gouda in a sufficiently large bowl. Mix with crème fraîche and yogurt and season carefully with salt and pepper. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and spread with the cream.

Set the oven to the highest heat setting. Place the prepared loaves on a baking sheet, place in the upper third of the oven and bake for 10 minutes until the top is lightly browned.

You can cut the baguette in half lengthwise and cut into 8 pieces. Or even better, into small bites. Never cut the bread diagonally into narrow slices, or it will soak through.

Our tip: It is best to use fresh herbs for a particularly good aroma!
