Introduction : Chalwsss or Halva is one of the most famous Greek desserts, it is mainly served during Lent. Of course, there are several variations of this dessert, here is the recipe of an exceptionally tasty variant :Preparation : Boil the water with the butter and sugar, stirring. Add the semolina and let it swell for 10 minutes at low temperature, stirring continuously. Remove the semolina from the stove. Coarsely chop the almonds (1) and stir into the semolina with the cinnamon. Spread the porridge in a flat rectangular form, put a dishcloth over the form and a lid on top. Let it set for at least 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Divide the semolina into small squares and cover each square with an almond (2). Bake the dessert on the middle shelf for 15 minutes.
