For the currant circles, mix the ingredients for the dough of the currant circles into a dough (shortcrust pastry) and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Roll out the dough about thicker (about 1 cm) and cut out small circles. Make a hole in the center with a wooden spoon (or a bottle cap). Fill this hole with currant jam.

Place the currant circles on a greased baking tray and bake at medium heat.
