For the cookie dough bowls, first preheat the oven to 190 °C.

Mix the flour, baking soda and salt and set aside. Chop the chocolate.

Beat the butter, the two sugars and the vanilla sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, folding in well each time. Fold in the flour mixture and chocolate chips alternately in batches until a rollable consistency is reached. The dough should not be too crumbly so that it can be easily shaped later. Knead, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.

In the meantime, grease the bottom of a muffin tin with the butter.

Roll out the dough. Cut out circles that are larger than the muffin tins. Carefully place the dough circle over an outpouring of the muffin tin and press down. Always leave an outpouring between cookie bowls.

Bake the cookie dough bowls for about 10 minutes. Remove and let cool (they will firm up in the process). Carefully remove from the muffin tins.
