For the mashed potatoes “American Style”, cook the potatoes with the skin on.
Then peel them and put them in a pot. Pour in the warmed milk and mash the potatoes until nice and mushy. Press the garlic and add it. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and the butter and season everything with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
