For the lemon cake, first preheat the oven to 170 °C. Line a baking pan of your choice with baking paper or grease it.
Grate the lemon zest and squeeze out the juice. For the batter, mix the lemon zest, 250 g sugar and all the remaining ingredients. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 30-40 minutes. Leave to cool.
In the meantime, mix the remaining sugar with the lemon juice. Spread on the lemon cake and let cool completely.
